Features

The only bivalent RSV vaccine targets both RSV A and RSV B virus subtypes

Intended for adults aged 60 years and older for the prevention of RSV-associated lower respiratory tract disease (LRTD)

Intended for infants from birth to 6 months of age (by administering to pregnant women during weeks 32-36 of pregnancy*) for the prevention of RSV-associated LRTD and severe LRTD

Side effects

     Includes redness, swelling, muscle pain, or allergic reactions at the injection site, with most side effects resolving within 2-3 days of onset.

Not suitable for

     Allergy to the vaccine or any of its components.
     History of unexplained neurological disorder within 7 days after receiving Pertussis vaccine.

Precautions

     This vaccine can be administered to both males and females.
     This vaccine can be co-administered with other vaccines suitable for pregnant women, such as Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis), influenza, and COVID-19 vaccines.
     This vaccine provides protection to newborns through maternal immunization, offering protection during the infant's most vulnerable first six months of life.
